UPGRADE IT YOUR WAY!

You can 3D print the suspension, wheels and tires. If you prefer hobby store RC-grade parts, the car is compatible with those too.

95% PRINTABLE!

Chassis, body, wheels, tires, suspension, axles, diffs, all printable. You just add screws, bolts, bearings, and optional RC electronics.

BUILT TO DRIVE!

Chunky and durable, tested across multiple iterations, and built to handle fast runs, jumps, and drifting. This is the 3rd generation of the chassis.

BEGINNER-FRIENDLY!

LEGO-like assembly with no soldering needed. You print the parts, assemble them, add standard RC electro, and go drive. It’s a hands-on project, but a relaxed one.

REAL WORKING PARTS!

Flip the hood to swap the battery. Swing the doors. Drop the tailgate. Lock the diffs. The cars don’t just look good, they move and feel real in your hands.

FAST PRINT, FUN DRIVE!

The prototype is 1:16 scale. Small enough for living rooms, tough enough for outdoor runs, and efficient to print and build.

FAQ

What is Makeracer?

Makeracer is a modular RC car system that allows users to easily customize, 3D print, and assemble a functional RC car.

How does the product work?

At this point, we're preparing an Expedition Prototype car with some minor customization options for purchase. Later, we'll launch a web-based platform, where you can create and customize cars in 3D view.

Is Makeracer available for purchase?

Not yet! We’re still working on it and developing the platform in parallel.

When will Makeracer Prototype be released?

Early Feb 2026! We just want to make sure everything is polished and ready to go.

PRINTING

What scale are Makeracer cars?

Our cars are 1:16 scale - quick to print and super agile on the track!

What print time can I expect?

72–144 hours is a realistic estimate, but the exact time depends on your printer.

Can I print Makeracer cars on Prusa MINI?

Yes.

What materials should I use for 3D printing?

PLA for the body and wheel rims, PETG / PC-blend for the chassis and the body frame. Optionally TPU for the tires, and transparent PETG for the lights.

Are there any non-printable parts?

Yes, to build a Makeracer car, you'll need a few non-printable parts, mainly bearings and M3 screws. If you want to drive the car, you'll also need a motor, ESC, servo, battery, and remote control, plus optional LED lights. We provide printable tires, but you can also use certain LEGO tires, as they are compatible.

Can I buy a pre-printed car?

No, that’s not what we do. We provide the printing data, and you get to put it together yourself.

ELECTRONICS

What kind of electronics do I need to make the car functional?

To drive your Makeracer, you’ll need a motor, ESC, servo, battery, and a RC radio. We’ll provide a recommended parts list to make the setup easy. We also recommend LED lights, the cars have built-in cable management for a clean setup.

Can I buy the electronics from you?

No, but we’ll provide a list of recommended and compatible parts that you can buy from your favorite store. We're looking into streamlining this.
